How To Meet Us & Learn From Us
We host a variety of events that range from educational, to exploratory, to social. Use our google calendar to stay up to date on our currently planned classes and events. And always feel free to reach out to us and request further details on any event.
Impact of Memphis
Impact is a BDSM venue local to Memphis, TN, where we host some of our events.
We host bi-weekly classes on Tuesday, from 6-9pm CST, we teach an educational class on various different rope skills. Beginners are always welcome! We cover the basics as the start of every class.
We also host the occasional rope jam. This is not quite a class but not quite a party. It is a rope-focused event where you can put the skills you've been learning to practice, socialize, & get inspired from your classmates and friends!
Students must be vetted by the venue staff to attend any events.
Cell-Based Series
We also host a private series that takes a cohort of students through the basics of rope bondage (shibari) and advances their skills to the point of basic rope suspension over a ~6 month period. Think of it like school: there will be handouts, classroom instruction, homework, tests, and students will be expected to practice between classes.
To participate in this series, you must be vetted in person by the instructors and fill out an application. We prioritize applicants based on the following criteria:
Having a tying partner to complete the series with
Matching schedule availability to accommodate multiple students
Interest in learning the type of rope we are teaching
We cap the size of the class at 3-4 tying pairs. This helps us provide focused and detailed instruction to everyone present.
Private Lessons
Private lessons may be a good option for you, depending on a variety of different factors. For example, you might want more focused attention and feedback to improve your rope skills, perhaps our current class offerings don't work with your availability, or you have specific topics you want to learn about in greater detail, etc.

Workshops
If you have a venue and would like us to teach at your space, please contact us to schedule something! We are happy to collaborate locally as well as travel to you if you are beyond the Mid-South region.
Sloshes
We also occasionally host social events (also known as a sloshes) at various microbreweries in Memphis. This provides a public location for you to get to know your fellow local rope enthusiasts while enjoying a drink and/or some food, meet your instructors, get vetted, and support a local business.
